MY MAKEUP FAVES

my everyday makeup

Bonjour everyone! Hope you’re having a good day! Today, I’m here to share with you my makeup favourites 🙂

I prefer a natural, glowing makeup for my everyday life so I don’t use many products!

face

For my skin, I usually go for a tinted moistruzer or a BB cream. My favourite at the moment is the daily protection BB cream SPF 30 by Kiko Milano (€9,95; £9,90). It is very light and moistruzing, you can’t feel it on your skin but it still gives a proper coverage and a good glow. It is also perfect for summer because of the spf.

I don’t actually use a face powder, especially in summer, and neither a concealer, but I used to really like the Maybelline age rewind.

As for my blush, my new obsession is the Glossier cloud paint ($18; £15)! Oh how beautiful! It has a pretty strange consistency, it is liquid but when you feel it on your finger and apply it to your cheeks it seems more like a powder. Anyway, it is a great product! It lasts a long time and makes you look alive and just back from a powerful run. I use the shade beam, a soft peach, perfect for my warm undertone 🙂

My highlighter is the Fenty Beauty killawatt in hu$tla baby (got it in a set with the Fenty gloss, $23; €19,90). Everyone already knows how Rihanna’s highlighters are to die for! This one is a pretty gold-ish, glittery pink, perfect for summer days. It’s not very natural, but I love my little dose of sparkles! Also, you can use it in your inner corner as an eyeshadow.

eyebrows

For brows, I usually go for a gel. I used to use the brow gel from Essence and a brow pencil to fill them in and they were fine, but now that I discovered the Glossier boy brow in brown ($16; £14) I’m never leaving it! It thickens, fills in and shapes eyebrows, leaving them look naturally wild and ready to go.

eyes

I usually go only for mascara on my eyes, but if I have eyeshadow on it is from the Urban Decay naked heat eyeshadow palette ($54; €53; £39,50).

My mascara at the moment is the rocket volume express by Maybelline ($7,77; €7,90). I tend to change it very often, to see what’s new and if there’s something interesting, but I have to admit that I eventually go back to the Maybelline ones. I just think that they are the best on the market. They make your lashes look super long and voluminous!!

lips

Lastly, my lips. I’ve bought many lipglosses, from the drugstore or not, and I found that the best one is the Fenty Beauty gloss bomb. As I said previously, I got it in a set with the killawatt highlighter and I was a steal! It isn’t sticky and it is pretty long lasting,  but obviously if you eat or kiss your boyfriend too much it fades away: totally normal for a gloss. You can keep it in your purse and reapply it whenever you feel like it. It is pretty sheer, just a little bit “bronzy” and it has beautiful gold sparkles. Overall, it looks like you have natural, healthy, full lips.

That’s it for my everyday makeup! Hope you liked this post, let me know in the comments if you have already tried any of these products or if I persuaded you to!

OUR TRIP TO SCOTLAND – PART ONE

Hey everyone!

Sorry about my disappereance! In Italy, we have lots of exams these months so I’ve been very busy. But let’s forget about those ugly things, because today we’re talking about SCOTLAND! WOO-HOO!

At the end of March, I’ve travelled all over the country, from Edinburgh and back, with my boyfriend for a whole week. We’ve rented a car, a super nice red fiat 500, and a total of six hotels! That was crazy! I will for sure make another post on where to find the best deals on hotels, flights and cars so how to travel on a low budget 😉

Anyway, I’m going to write a few posts about this trip, so be prepared! This first one is about the amazing capital city: Edinburgh!

Let’s start from the beginning!

We started our trip visiting the beautiful Edinburgh. It is a suuuper nice city, we loved the hills even though they were a hard workout!! We have been so lucky to be welcomed by a sunny and not-too-windy weather!

We suggest a good walk on the Royal Mile and to visit the castle. We didn’t visit the interior of the castle since it was a little pricey, 17 pounds per head, but it was still very beautiful from the outside!

Another good place was Stockbridge, where you can find lots of thrift shops!

Let me introduce you to the best restaurant in town: THE BAKED POTATO SHOP! It’s not actually a real restaurant, you only get your order and then you can eat it somewhere else (there’s only one table inside), but it’s worth it! TRUST ME!! You just have to choose the toppings for your baked potato and you’re done! Oh, and best part? It is vegetarian!!

I will never forget about those beautiful potatoes. NEVER.

An insanely stunning place was for sure Calton Hill. Calton Hill is a hill in central Edinburgh situated beyond the east end of Princes Street and included in the city’s UNESCO world heritage site! You can park your car just down the hill, walk up the stairs surrounded by trees and bushes and you get there: so easy, not a single drop of sweat will be wasted.

Lastly, I want to suggest the hotel we stayed in: the HOLIDAY INN EDINBURGH CITY – WEST. It was not perfect, and it’s not close to the city center, but if you have a car and a low budget as we did, it might be a good option! At the end of the day, when you travel you just need a bed to sleep in and a clean bathroom!

I hope that this post is useful or at least entertaining! Tell me in the comments if you have ever been to Edinburgh or if you’re planning to! Stay tuned for the next posts on this trip 🙂

MUG CAKE MANIA!

90-second-mile-high-nutella-mug-cake-109369-1

Hey guys!! Today I wanted to invite you in the magic world of MUG CAKES…. yes, you’ve heard it right!! A CAKE IN A MUG! It’s easy as that!

Well, you’ve probably have heard it before, since they are super popular on the internet, especially on Pinterest. I tried to make one today and it came out very delicious!

I am vegan, so sometimes it is difficult to find good vegan desserts at the grocery store, but at the same time I don’t have time to make one every day… so I think that mug cakes are the perfect solution!!

It only takes 5 minutes to make them, and the ingredients are super easy to find! You already have them at home probably.

Sooooo…. let’s get started! Here’s my recipe!

mmm
INGREDIENTS

  • 3 tablespoons of wholemeal flour
  • 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder or soda
  • 2 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder
  • chocolate chips to taste
  • 1 tablespoon of sunflower oil
  • 4 tablespoons of vegan milk (almond, rice, soy..)
  • powdered sugar
  1. Put in a bowl all of the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, chocolate chips and cocoa powder.
  2. Add the wet ingredients: oil and milk. Then mix them all together.
  3. Put the mixture in a mug.
  4. Let it cook in the microwave for about 2/3 minutes.
  5. Test the cake for doneness with a toothpick.
  6. Sprinkle with some powdered sugar and you’re done!

Let me know if you try it how it turns out!!
